Hollow Fiber Ultrafiltration Membranes
Hollow fiber ultrafiltration (UF) membranes, with a MWCO (Molecular Weight Cutt-off) of 150 to 200 kilodaltons (kDa), remove all fine silt, turbidity, bacteria and viruses, as well as chlorine-resistant organisms such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. Ultrafiltration membrane productivity is high, while pressure differences remain low. Our UF membranes are available for all water areas, from potable water production to the treatment of process and wastewater and the pre-treatment of seawater, but also for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
Potable water production
Membrane modules provide superior separation performance and effective rejection of viruses and chlorine-resistant organisms such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia.
Process water production
Membrane modules offer an effective barrier to suspended solids and silt. The permeate can be used directly or, if salinity and dissolved solids are not within the required limits, the permeate can be fed to a downstream RO system.
Membrane modules are a reliable solution to meeting the highest standards for turbidity and microbiology. The polished effluent is ready for high- grade and unrestricted reuse applications.
Due to their high chlorine stability, membrane modules are highly suitable to treat chlorinated water from swimming pools. Apart from providing a barrier to suspended solids, the membrane modules also effectively remove microbial particles, so that pool water chlorination can be dramatically reduced.
